The Wyatt Sicks run in WWE ended last week when Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan were all released in this year’s post-WrestleMania roster cuts. While few would argue the group was firing on all cylinders creatively as they approached the two-year anniversary of their debut, the decision to move on from the act completely shocked many. Even if the Bray Wyatt-inspired Sicks didn’t resonate emotionally with a lot of fans and people inside the wrestling business, the merchandising possibilities the concept allows figured to keep them employed for a few more years.
But they did, and those fans and industry-types are still processing that several days later.
Alexa Bliss is someone who’s in the business and a fan, having worked closely with and befriended Bray Wyatt in WWE before his death, and was rumored to have been tapped for a role as the sixth, or “Sicks-th”, member of the Wyatt Sicks early in the group’s run.
Her message was simple:
Cross, who has her own lengthy history with Bliss prior to being repackaged as for the Wyatt Sicks, thanked her friend, who’d already sent a separate message to her. Nikki also penned her own reflection on the experience of being in Bo/Howdy’s group:
Wyatts. Abby. It was the honour of a lifetime. Forever I will hold onto you. Our raggedy torn dirty white bloodstained dress and the cracked mask that showed off the scars but never broken.
Fireflies. I love you beyond measure. Thank you for lighting the way ✨ Being with you all in Las Vegas last week was fate.
Il never forget entrances at the Clash of the Castle in Paris , Australia, Poland, Germany, or any arena which would light up in the most beautiful way. 💫Every night we performed for you all, it felt like Bray and Brodie were there, their hands on our shoulders.
