“Still feel like you don’t have a problem?” Studiocanal has revealed an official trailer for Another Day for the French film also known as Garance. The original French title is the name of the main character, though the English title is more of a thematic title about her alcoholism. This premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival playing in the Main Competition – I’m a big fan of it even though it got mixed reviews (here’s mine). Garance is a young actress but not a star. She manages things as best she can, finding fuel and comfort in alcohol. As she embarks for an 8-year journey of life changes, she drinks more and more. Until death seems to loom. Starring Adèle Exarchopoulos as Garance & Sara Giraudeau as Pauline, with Rudgy Pajany, Raya Martigny, Mathilde Roehrich, Sara-Jeanne Drillaud. Part of the reason this did not get great reviews is because it’s a very direct, specific look at how an alcoholic person refuses help and yet must learn to get that help. And while I think that’s important to portray in cinema, not everyone agrees. Worth a look.

This initially premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Studiocanal already released Herry’s Another Day in French cinemas this week.
