Watch: Love Is Blind Season 11’s Stew Reveals What Jax DM’d Him After Engagement Breakup
Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli didn’t leave Scott “Stew” Stewart in the dark for long.
During Love Is Blind season 11, Jax blindsided the 34-year-old director of engineering when she suddenly dumped him following their first in-person meeting, ending their engagement. She even refused to tell him face-to-face that she was leaving the show.
However, Stew revealed that the 31-year-old entrepreneur actually DM’d him as soon as they left the pods and the cameras weren’t rolling.
“You leave the program, you go back to the hotel,” he told E! News in an exclusive interview. “By the time I had checked into the hotel, I had a message from her. She had found me through Instagram.”
As for what Jax had to say for herself?
According to Stew, she was “explaining what she had been going through, what the situation was.”
“It was super sincere,” he shared. “She explained that it wasn’t about me. It was about just the emotional overload of the previous couple weeks, and I think once we got settled back in Boston, once kind of normal life was allowed to resume, we were able to kind of catch our breaths.”
Indeed, Jax had expressed reluctance in jumping into a serious relationship before meeting Stew in person.
“I’m most nervous about physical connection to kind of lock it in ultimately,” she said in a confessional. “I mean, can you even break up during this? I don’t know.”
And though Stew had compared himself to a Kennedy, once they saw each other for the first time, Jax retorted, “Please, more like Mitt Romney.”

So, after their in-person proposal, Jax told producers she was hitting the road—and opted not to tell Stew herself.
“Jax has just informed us, she does not want to go to Mexico with you,” a producer told him in a confessional. “She asked to go home immediately…We offered her the opportunity to sit down and talk with you. She declined.”
