Former champion confirms she’s gone from WWE ID and is now ‘the hottest free agent’

Just a short while ago, Fightful Select reported that Laynie Luck’s WWE ID (Independent Development) deal is not being renewed, which means she will “effectively be a free agent” on Friday, October 9. It didn’t take long at all for Luck to confirm the news on social media while speaking glowingly about her future.

“my turn to be the hottest free agent 🍀✨ i am a lucky girl and everything will work out for me ❤️‍🔥”

Laynie’s 320-day run as WWE ID women’s champion is by far the longest reign since the belt was created in 2025. She won the title in November 2025, and just dropped it to “Lady Bird” Monica Monroe within the last week. Luck went on to say she will be a big star no matter where she goes from here.

“i was a star player in the program the entire year i was there. i will be a star player where i end up next 🫡🏆”

Are you surprised that Laynie Luck is suddenly gone from the WWE ID program? Let me know your reaction to her exit in the comments below, Cagesiders.
