Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge are turning the page.

The reality stars confirmed they broke up after nearly 10 years together in separate social media posts Oct. 8.

For his part, Wharton that he was looking forward to a “new chapter,” alongside a photo with his and Selfridge’s daughters Mila, 6, and Maya, 4, as well as his daughter Ryder, 9, whom he shares with ex Cheyenne Floyd.

“Taylor and I have decided to go our separate ways, as hard as that is to say publicly, I think it’s important to be honest about where my life is at this moment,” The Challenge alum wrote in an Instagram post. “We shared a lot of years, memories, love, and most importantly, we have two beautiful daughters.”

And the 35-year-old emphasized they are his focus as he moves forward.

“This chapter is about them, but it’s also about me doing the work that I need on myself—learning from my mistakes, growing, healing, and becoming the best version of myself I can be,” he added. “I’m so thankful that God has given me this position to be in.”

Cory Wharton Shares How Daughter Maya’s Hospitalization Brought Him and Taylor Selfridge Back Together

He emphasized, “Being a Girl Dad is what I was put on this earth to do, I’m excited for what the future holds, also scared and nervous as hell.”

Wharton—who met Selfridge on Ex on the Beach in 2017—subsequently addressed his ex directly, owning up to how he felt short in their relationship.

“I’m sorry, Taylor, that things didn’t work out the way we both hoped they would,” he continued. “I know there were times I could’ve been better, and I’m sorry for the ways I let you down.”

Selfridge, meanwhile, told her followers that she had “left” Wharton.

“I was sick of not getting basic respect from a person I was with for nine years and the father of my two children,” the 32-year-old wrote in an Instagram Story. “I’m sure everyone could tell the last few years. I deserve more than that and I’ll get it. End of story.”

The Teen Mom star followed up her confirmation with a photo of her hugging her daughters, writing, “Just me and my girls.”

Wharton and Selfridge have certainly gone through a lot in their nine years together, particularly supporting their daughter Maya through multiple hospital stays due to her congenital heart condition.

Earlier this year, Wharton admitted that their daughter’s most recent stint at the hospital gave he and Selfridge the opportunity to temporarily halt their conflicts and focus on their child’s health.

“Those little things that you tend to stress about in life kind of went away,” he told E! News in May. “It changed my perspective on a lot of things.”
