“He meant so much in so many ways.” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a tragic new documentary titled The One About Matthew Perry, a three-part biopic doc series about the life of beloved Canadian actor Matthew Perry. As everyone already knows, Perry passed away in October 2023 at only age 54 from extensive ketamine use. The actor was famous for his role as Chandler Bing on the sitcom “Friends”. He also appeared on “Ally McBeal”, “The West Wing”, “The Ron Clark Story”, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”; along with the films Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes, Three to Tango, The Whole Nine Yards, Serving Sara, The Whole Ten Yards, and 17 Again, along with other roles as well as addiction support activism. Told through intimate testimonies from close family and friends, this documentary event reveals the real Matthew Perry—generous, funny, vulnerable, larger than life—and the battles he fought to become the man behind the icon. A raw record of a life lived in full, and the honesty that became his greatest legacy. It looks sad yet moving.
