Now’s the time to pounce
Earlier this year, Nintendo increased the price of the Switch 2 across multiple regions, including the UK. While the console launched at £395.99 back in June 2025, its price was raised to £419.99 thanks to global component shortages.
Right now, however, you can pick up a Switch 2 for £354.99 from either Argos or Smyths in the UK. This is comfortably the cheapest price you can currently find for the console anywhere in the country, saving you a cool £65 – enough to add a game of your choice, if you wish.

It’s not clear if this is a temporary price to shift some stock, or if it’s something that will be in place for a little while, but we’d highly recommend taking advantage of it while you can.
Nintendo is also planning to launch a Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 on 29th October, priced at £429.99. However, demand for this is considerably high, so it’s sold out at most retailers at the time of writing.
