Watch: Lori Loughlin Returns to Instagram 7 Years After College Scandal With Help From Full House Cast
Lori Loughlin is looking to start a brand new chapter.
Nearly one year after a rep for the Full House star confirmed her separation from Mossimo Giannulli, she has officially filed for divorce to end their nearly 30-year marriage, according to court documents obtained by E! News Sept. 8.
Loughlin listed the couple’s separation date as August 31, 2025, citing the reason for the split as irreconcilable differences.
E! News has reached out Loughlin and Giannulli’s attorneys for comment and has not yet heard back.
In October 2025, Loughlin’s rep confirmed to E! News that the pair—who tied the knot in 1997 and share daughters Bella Rose Giannulli and Olivia Jade Giannulli—were indeed “living apart.”
Months earlier, Loughlin and Giannulli had listed their Hidden Hills, Calif., home for sale, according to multiple outlets. (The former couple purchased the house in August 2020, the same month they were both sentenced for their convictions in their college admissions scandal.)
Though neither Giannulli nor Loughlin have addressed their breakup publicly, her onscreen husband John Stamos has come to her defense, accusing her ex of being a “terrible narcissist.”

“I will never talk to him again,” the Fuller House actor said during an October 2025 episode of the Good Guys podcast. “Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. And she put up with a lot over the years for this guy. I know a lot, and I was by her side through a lot of it.”
E! News previously reached out to a rep for Giannulli’s apparel company G/FORE for comment on Stamos but did not hear back.
As for their friendship, Stamos emphasized how his friend was dealing with the aftermath.
“I know she’s just devastated,” he added. “And for a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife—I know all this for a fact—to be thrown into, now, this separation exploding, blowing up her family this way. And I just hate to see her go through this.”
