There’s just no stopping Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, is there? Super Evil Megacorp has consistently released updates and DLC for this one since launch a couple of years ago, and today, the dev is finally bringing the main story to a close with a huge content drop.

‘The King’s Gambit’ free update is available right now, adding a final chapter to the game’s narrative with a bunch of new levels and a massive boss fight against The Rat King. The drop also includes a new Lair companion in the shape of the adorable Pepperoni, some new in-game challenges, and all of the usual balance tweaks and adjustments.

There’s a fresh wave of character DLC, too. This new paid pack adds everyone’s favourite souped-up mutant turtle, Slash, into the game, complete with his own ‘Enrage’ mode for temporary speed and attack boosts. Plus, there’s a Samurai Armour Pack, featuring new skins for each of the eight playable characters.

If you want to pick up all of this (plus the previous DLC packs) in one swoop, the dev also announced a new ‘Platinum Edition’, which bundles everything together into one neat package. Of course, there’s also the Switch 2 Edition to look forward to in October.
