Mark Ballas did not want to waltz into Derek Hough’s mess.

The Dancing With the Stars pro made it a point to call out his longtime best friend after Hough left a bit of a mess while staying with Ballas in New York City.

“So @derekhough came to see me in @chicagomusical but at what cost?? He left a mess,” Ballas wrote on Instagram July 22. “Bed not made, coconut water & protein smoothie bottles not thrown away, pillows on the ground, lolly pop rapper [sic] inches away from the trash, TOILET SEAT UP!!!”

The 40-year-old exclaimed, “I’ve been dealing with the BS FOR 30 YEARS!!!!!!”

Ballas also shared a video from the scene of the mess, running around the bedroom as he showed “proof that Derek Hough is a messy house guest,” focusing on the empty drink bottle, unmade bed and trash lying around the room.

But despite Ballas’ displeasure with the mess, Hough himself was unmoved, commenting on the video with a laughing crying emoji and writing, “Office Revenge.”

The dancer’s wife HayleyErbert, with whom the DWTS judge shares 7-month-old daughter Everley, also weighed in, writing, “Not the sucker wrapper literally 3 inches from the trash can.”

And a mess in the bedroom wasn’t the only way Hough left his mark on his BFF, as he decided that a small prank was needed before Ballas took the stage as Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway.

“I’m gonna put Tiger Balm—like Icy Hot—I’m gonna put it in his underwear and let it dry so then you can’t feel it,” Hough explained to the camera in a video posted to Instagram July 20. “All of a sudden, the middle of the show is gonna get hot down there.”

The 41-year-old captioned his video, “He’s about to feel that razzle on his dazzle,” to which Ballas replied in the comments, “My dazzles are on RAZZLE.”

Luckily, Ballas and Hough’s friendship runs deep enough to forgive messes and pranks as the two first met in the mid-’90s when Hough and his sister Julianne Hough, 38, began dance training with Ballas’ parents, Shirley and Mark Alexander “Corky” Ballas Sr.

“Thirty years of friendship and somehow we blinked and hit the big 4 0,” Hough posted for Ballas’ birthday in May. “From getting into trouble growing up in London to being dads and husbands, it’s wild to think of the journey we’ve been on.”

“Grateful to share this journey with you, brother,” he added. “Love you.”
