A video of the incident from Staurday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden has gone viral.
Several people in attendance at the most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 witnessed a woman giving a Nazi salute during GUNTHER’s entrance.
A video of the disturbing moment has circulated on social media. The person who originally posted the footage online said fans at Madison Square Garden confronted the woman for the highly inappropriate action.
Though she was reportedly told by others in the crowd to stop, the woman was said to have continued doing the motion.
In the caption of the original clip shared on TikTok, user Alexa_Angel206 wrote: “Time changes but people don’t. Smh… After being confronted by several of us in the section she did it a couple more times. This wasn’t ignorance.“
In the comments of the TikTok clip, one person noted that doing the salute in Germany would result in the woman receiving prison time.
Another person wrote: “My grandmother survived bombings in her village during WW2 and this made me so furious.“
Alexa_Angel206’s clip has since gone viral after being shared across various online platforms. A Reddit user responded to a post about the incident by writing: “gross, i hate how bold and open this s**t has become.”
“WWE events are for everyone. Gestures like that have no place in the crowd,” an X user wrote in reaction to the video.
“What the actual f*** dude,” another person on X posted. “That’s just uncalled for.”
One X user offered a solution, writing: “We need to start making these kinds of people afraid again,”
GUNTHER hails from Austria, where German is the native language. However, the wrestling star has no association with Nazis and has never expressed extremist views.
