Hello everyone, and great job on making it through another week!
It’s felt like a bit of a quiet week in the world of Nintendo, despite the release of Rhythm Heaven Groove and a fairly meaty Splatoon Raiders Direct. Yet all eyes have been on Microsoft and Sony: the former for its impending studio closures and layoffs (which we should know more about on Monday) and the latter for, oh y’know, killing physical media. Strewth.
Speaking of physical media, however, it’s been confirmed that Oblivion Remastered will get a proper cartridge release when it launches in August, so that’s nice. We also saw that a mysterious new Metroid game received a rating over in Brazil, while a rumour has done the rounds to suggest that Nintendo may be updating the LCD screen for the Switch 2.
