Watch: Pink Shares the Emotional Advice She Gave Daughter Willow Ahead of 15th Birthday
Pink is raising a glass to her daughter Willow Hart.
The “Get the Party Started” singer was certainly feeling the emotions as she reflected on her and husband Carey Hart’s daughter turning 15 on June 2.
“Honestly, I was terrified to be a mother,” Pink admitted in an exclusive interview with E! News at Rockefeller Center’s Top of the Rock. “I told Willow in her birthday card that she taught me what love is. And I’ve loved every phase of being her mom.”
“It makes me very emotional,” the 46-year-old added. “I did not know that I would be able to handle a teenager—and she is the easiest person I’ve ever met to love.”
The 2026 Tony Awards host—who is also mom to 9-year-old son Jameson—has also been incredibly impressed by Willow’s dedication to being a performer.
“She is now finally at the age where she would like to do her own thing, which I think is boring,” Pink laughed, hinting she prefers them to be side-by-side. “She’s doing the damn thing. She’s in cabarets for charity, she’s in workshops, she just did Carrie the musical—which was dark. She’s killing it. It’s fun to watch.”
And of course the Grammy winner has been able to give her eldest plenty of advice about the entertainment industry, sharing that she’s been “very transparent” with Willow.
“I told her she just has to work hard and be a good person,” Pink said, “and show up and be a good teammate and work hard.”
Most importantly, she told Willow to “work on your craft, never be satisfied, but also celebrate the wins, and be a good teammate,” especially because at the end of the day, the business “is all about collaboration.”

And Pink is certainly excited to be collaborating with Willow for her Tony Awards hosting gig, drawing upon their shared love of theater that was instilled in the “So What” singer by her mom JudithMoore.
“It makes me want to cry talking about it,” Pink told E!. “It’s a beautiful night and I’m excited that Willow is getting to help me through it all. It’s just really fun. And my son’s going to wear a white tux—I’m so excited.”
The Tony Awards, hosted by Pink at Rockefeller Center’s Radio City Music Hall, airs on June 7 on CBS and Paramount+.
