Yura Borisov in ‘Race to Monte Carlo’ Trailer Russian Movie About Cars

Race to Monte Carlo Trailer

“You’ve got distance. I’ve got speed.” An official international teaser trailer has debuted for the movie Race to Monte Carlo, a Russian race car sports movie also going under the original title Battle of Engines. This seems to be Russia’s nationalistic response to the F1 movie, also inspired by Ferrari and Ford v Ferrari and all the other recent race car films. Driver Andrey Nagel believed in his car’s future in the early Russian auto industry. After co-creating the Russo-Balt car, he aimed to prove its worth by competing in the 3000 km St. Petersburg to Monaco race for Monte Carlo Rally’s top prize. This is their story. In 1908, automotive enthusiast Andrey Nagel & engineer Dmitry Bondarev gather a team of like-minded individuals to develop a top notch race car. When the viability of their endeavor looks uncertain, Andrey makes the risky decision to enter their car in the Monaco Rally – a move that could make or break the budding manufacturer’s future. Starring Oscar nominee Yura Borisov (from Anora) as Dmitry & Ivan Yankovskiy as Andrey, along with Paulina Andreeva, Igor Grabuzov, Aleksei Guskov, & Yehezkel Lazarov. This initial teaser features a very cheesy English-language dub over the dialogue. Doesn’t look half bad – but only if you’re into racing. // Continue Reading ›
