WWE Money in the Bank 2026 takes place tonight (Sat., Oct. 10) from Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The show begins at 4 pm ET with the free Countdown show, leading right into the main course at 6 pm ET streaming HERE on ESPN Unlimited in the U.S., and on Netflix pretty much everywhere else.
LA Knight will never be world champion in WWE
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defends the gold tonight against LA Knight, and itâs actually the opening match of the night. Knightâs alliance with Solo Sikoa and their six-man tag team win over The Bloodline at SummerSlam has put the megastar in position to challenge Reigns on this PLE. Itâs worth noting that LA hasnât won a singles match on WWE programming since June, so WWE hasnât gone out of its way to build him up as a major threat to Reigns.
In the promos leading up to tonightâs match, Knight keeps bringing up his last world title shot against Reigns from three years ago, where the Tribal Chief needed help from The Bloodline to retain the belt. Roman now wins matches on his own in 2026, and a clean fight is exactly what the megastar says he wants. He may not get it, though, because his other SummerSlam partner, Royce Keys, has gone on to create his own â946â heel faction that is causing all kinds of chaos for The Bloodline and Sikoa.
LA has admitted in interviews that this may be his last chance to win a world title in WWE. If thatâs the case then heâs probably screwed, because itâs hard to see Roman dropping this belt to anybody other than Oba Femi. Even home country hero Penta couldnât beat Reigns for the gold last month in Mexico City. It doesnât help Knightâs chances that this match is now the opener. I have a very hard time time seeing a Roman Reigns title loss happening anywhere else besides the main event.
LAâs best hope to win the belt involves 946 interfering to attack the OTC without causing a disqualification, but it doesnât seem like theyâll get a clean shot at Roman given that Sikoa and The Usos are standing in their way.
Will LA Knight back up his tough talk about being the most self-made man in WWE by finally winning a world title, or will he fall flat on his face when the Tribal Chief beats him clean this time? Tune into Money in the Bank to find out.
The rest of the card
Here are the four other matches that are currently advertised for Money in the Bank:
Penta vs. JeâVon Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. Kevin Owens vs. CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker in the menâs Money in the Bank ladder match
A high risk spot fest with ladders is meant for younger bodies to endure, and there is plenty of new blood to be found with JeâVon, Trick, and Bron all looking to cement themselves as top stars in WWE. Penta is older but may be the hottest star of them all coming off his world title match against Roman Reigns in Mexico City. Then there is Owens and old man Punk, whose feud has helped Sami Zayn win the WWE championship and survive longer than nine days with the title this time. If Owens and Punk continue to cancel each other out in this match, Penta and Breakker stand out as being more likely to win than Evans and Williams.
Lola Vice vs. Sol Ruca vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Lash Legend vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Roxanne Perez in the womenâs Money in the Bank ladder match
The youth movement is even more apparent in the womenâs Money in the Bank ladder match, where former winner Stratton is joined by five wrestlers who have never won a world title in WWE. Thatâs mostly because Jayne, Ruca, and Vice just joined the main roster in 2026, Legendâs call up happened less than one year ago, and Perez is closer to 1.5 years. Lash is the one who was standing tall over everyone else on last nightâs go home show, so Reverse Momentum Theory might be working against her tonight. Perez is generally regarded as a favorite, which could create tension with her stablemate Liv Morgan, while WWE Womenâs Champion Chelsea Green is hoping that her friend Stratton finds a way to win the MITB contract again.
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan for the Womenâs world championship
Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer both returned to WWE to confront Womenâs World Champion Liv Morgan on the August 3 episode of Raw. A rare house show title change happened when Vaquer beat Morgan for the belt in her home country of Chile, thanks to a major assist from special referee Lynch. Becky and Liv fought on Raw to see who gets this title match, and it had a very bad DQ finish where the babyface champ attacked them both to set up this 3-way title match. Vaquer looks like a dumbass, because now The Judgment Day can legally interfere and give Morgan the numbers game advantage to win back her belt.
Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed
Bronson Reed returned to WWE last month at Sunday Nightâs Main Event to ruin Femiâs match against Bron Breakker and take out The Ruler with several Tsunami splashes. There was some drama added to the mix during The Visionâs next beatdown on Femi on Raw when Reed put his foot on Obaâs body. Femi quickly shoved Reedâs foot off in what looked like an unscripted moment. This is Obaâs chance to get revenge on Reed and step on him after the match is over. But how will Paul Heyman factor into the finish, if at all?
