El Grande Americano is a Mexican hero. If you have any doubts, just listen to the crowd response to EGA during the Rey de Reyes ceremony on the latest episode of AAA TV (Mar. 21, 2026). The taped show also featured Lola Vice and La Hiedra trading butt blows, Fenix showing his greatness in the ring, chaos in the AAA tag title bout between Psycho Clown & Pagano and the War Raiders, and more from Puebla, Mexico.
The main event segment was the sacred sword celebration for El Grande Americano winning the Rey de Reyes tournament. El Grande Americano is such a hero that people trust him with their baby.

AAA brought in past winners Chessman, Texano Jr. and Cibernatico. El Grande Americano paid respect to the legends for making lucha libre what it is today. He thanked the Mexican fans for accepting him like family. EGA was emotional with his final message. The proud Mexican isn’t about the color of their skin. It is their culture, the most beautiful culture around the world. EGA’s delivery was passionate, and the crowd ate it up with loud support.

The good vibes ended when Dominik Mysterio interrupted the festivities. In addition to the ceremonial sword, El Grande Americano earned a future mega title shot. Dom questioned EGA’s loyalty as a friend, while also throwing in jabs at Rey Mysterio for never winning the Rey de Reyes tournament. Dom got uppity to see if EGA wanted to fight right now. When EGA was game, Dom immediately retreated from the ring. That’s when Original Grande Americano attacked EGA from behind. This seemed more like OGA taking advantage of the circumstances rather than being in cahoots with Dirty Dom. OGA pounded EGA around the ring, and he stole the Rey de Reyes sword to stand tall.
Psycho Clown and Pagano defended the AAA World Tag Team Championship against WWE’s War Raiders. Psycho and Pagano strut into the arena. Psycho’s suit makes me think of Miami Vice, and now I want an Acapulco Vice spin-off with Psycho and Pagano.

The match ended in a no-contest ruling from the referee, but there was plenty of action to leave fans wanting more. Pscho ran wild on a hot tag for a Code Red, a cannonball outside, and a moonsault.

The War Raiders weathered the storm to take control with teamwork power offense. That led to a hot tag for Pagano with a flying dropkick and Emerald Flowsion. Ivar wouldn’t be outdone. He landed a moonsault onto Pagano. Psycho broke the pin with a flying splash onto the pile.

The finish was chaos. Psycho hit an Air Raid Crash, but he was too tired to make the pin. Psycho turned to Pagano, and they fired up together. Psycho got too excited and ripped his own face off. Corey Graves sold the moment on commentary by screaming, “Ahh!” Psycho landed a moonsault on Ivar, and Pagano followed for a flying leg drop. Erik made the save to break the pin. Psycho tossed Erik outside. Erik grabbed a steel chair. Upon seeing the weapon, Psycho stopped short of a suicide dive. Meanwhile, Pagano was fighting Ivar. Psycho grabbed his partner and ate a back elbow in the heat of the moment. Pagano didn’t realize it was Psycho. That led to Psycho shoving his partner. There was no time to hash that out. The War Raiders were on the attack, so Psycho and Pagano put their issues aside. The referee tried to restore order, and he was shoved on his ass for his troubles. That was what caused the match to be thrown out as a no-contest. Psycho and Pagano grabbed kendo sticks. The War Raiders grabbed chairs. Both teams were swinging weapons until security broke it up.
Rey Fenix, Mr. Iguana, & Lola Vice defeated La Hiedra & Money Machine in trios action for the opener. The story was HLA (Hot Lucha Action) between Lola Vice and La Hiedra. They exchanged running hip attacks and grinding buttocks to the face. Here’s the clip from Lola. Hiedra’s turn is censored on X. Make of that what you will.

Fenix was the star of the match, as he should be. He unleashed a barrage of fancy kicks and high-flying dives throughout the contest. In the end, Fenix hit the Fire Thunder Driver to pin Garra de Oro. Even the highlight package doesn’t show Hiedra’s assets. I sense a c-o-n-spiracy against Las Toxicas.
Chelsea Green was monitoring the mixed tag champs Lola & Mr. Iguana. She refused to accept losing that title. Chelsea was injured, and Ethan Page botched the match by picking Hiedra as his partner. She doesn’t need a man to mess things up. Chelsea demands that Triple A-A-A acknowledge her as the mixed tag team women’s champion.

Also of note, Dorian Roldan hyped up Hijo del Vikingo to take the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Penta.

This episode was a lot of fun. The trios opener had an enjoyable mix of personality and cool moves. The tag title bout delivered a smash-mouth style. Despite the non-finish, the intensity of the battle left me wanting more to see who will win. The Rey de Reyes ceremony was a treat to feel the love for El Grande Americano through the screen.
Closing with a social media bonus of Bayley explaining her appreciation for the crowd reaction to her AAA debut.
