The week’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA is sandwiched between Ola de Calor and Triplemania. WWE isn’t advertising much for this show on Saturday night (Sep. 5, 2026). Two matches are announced with a showcase for La Catalina and a trios contest with La Parka and Mr. Iguana. I suspect there will be more drama involved as the go-home to Triplemania. Or at least an abundance of video packages.
I believe this episode was part of the session taped from Torreon, which occurred prior to Ola de Calor. If that’s the case, expect new Latin American champion La Parka to strut without his belt.

WWE AAA LUCHA LIBRE RESULTS FOR SEPTEMBER 5
La Parka, El Fiscal, & Mr. Iguana defeated Histeria, Taurus, & Dinamico. Rocking action. The heroes turned the tide with a conga line of dives outside. La Parka grabbed Histeria back into the ring for a rolling cutter and the Bonebreaker finisher to win.
La Catalina is the #1 contender to challenge Flammer for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Triplemania. Catalina is excited for this opportunity. She has wanted to carry that title since she was a child in Chile and when she came to Mexico for the first time. Flammer’s time is running out as champion. Catalina will win that title.
El Grande Americano welcomed Pimpinela Escarlata to the ring in hometown Torreon. Pimpi danced down the aisle. Pimpi thanked the fans for 40 years of support. The crowd chanted for a beso (kiss) to EGA. EGA obliged and kissed Pimpi on the cheek. The fans gave a loud ovation in honor of Pimpinela.
El Grande Americano cut a promo backstage. He reflected on all the success so far this year. Now, he wants the biggest prize in AAA. EGA wants the Mega Championship from Dominik Mysterio at Triplemania. The title isn’t just for EGA. It is for the people, for his girlfriend Andrea Bazarte, for Pimpi, for Mexico. This match is for legacy, history, and culture. This match is for pride.
Mr. Iguana approached Rey Mysterio for a championship opportunity. Rey played with Iguana a little to find out how bad he wants it. The idea was for Iguana against the last man who beat him and his best friend. Rey proposed Iguana in a three-way with Laredo Kid challenging La Parka for the Latin American Championship. Iguana was game.
War Raiders are AAA tag champs for a reason. No team can put an end to their reign. The War Raiders plan to end R-Truth and Damian Priest on SmackDown in Mexico City, then they will issue an open challenge at Triplemania.
La Catalina defeated Adelicious. Catalina handled business in the main event to win on a running hip attack followed by a spinning bow and arrow slam. Flammer was on commentary, so Catalina called her to the ring. The champ teased the crowd by walking up the steps. Nope. Flammer bailed on that idea. She exited with a little bit of mind games.
