The ongoing military conflict between Israel & the United States and Iran & its proxies that’s resulted in missile falling on countries throughout the Persian Gulf created doubt about WWE holding another premium live event in Saudi Arabia this year. The company’s held at least two in the Middle Eastern Kingdom in five of the eight years of its extremely lucrative arrangement with the Saudis, but between the war and the fact the country bought WrestleMania next year, the thinking was that Royal Rumble may have been all that was headed to Jeddah or Riyadh this year.
In fact, rumors indicated a summer show in the KSA was “doubtful at best” this year due to the war.
But where there are billions of dollars, there’s a way. And WWE is either confident enough that their many friends in the Trump administration can wrap up the President’s “little excursion” before June, or that they’ll be invested in making sure nothing terrible happens to a wrestling show and its stars — because they’re headed to Riyadh on June 27 for a second straight year of Night of Champions from the Kingdom.
Promotion for WrestleMania 43 next April shows no signs that WWE will be moving next year’s Showcase of the Immortals, either.
Whatever you feel about that, it gives us the following confirmed PLE schedule for 2026:
- Sun., May 9: Backlash in Tampa, Florida
- Sun., May 31: Clash in Italy in Turin
- Sat., June 27: Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- Sat., August 1 and Sun., Aug. 2: SummerSlam in Minneapolis
- Sun., Sept. 6: Money in the Bank in New Orleans
