AEW’s All Out pay-per-view is coming up in the Chicago area on Sept. 26, which is less than two weeks away. That’s why it’s not surprising that several new matches were added to the card during this week’s (Sept. 16) episode of Dynamite.
My new favorite title match on the PPV is AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Tommaso Ciampa. Okada tried to dodge the match after calling Ciampa a bitch, but the Psycho Killer erased that shit-eating grin right off The Rainmaker’s face. It’s a heel vs. heel match with little build, but I don’t doubt for a second that Okada vs. Ciampa will rule.
The world trios championship will also be defended at All Out, with former champs Hangman Page and Brodido challenging either New Level and Swerve Strickland or The Demand for the gold.
As far as non-title matches are concerned, Thekla and Willow Nightingale will battle it out to see who challenges Mercedes Mone for the AEW women’s world title in October at WrestleDream. Finally, Steven Borden and Darby Allin won again in tag team action on Dynamite, which puts them in a match at All Out against the Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. The winning team is the new number one contender for the AEW world tag team championship. Sorry, Motor City Machine Guns.
