Spring Hotels has been named Official Event Accommodation Partner for Starmus VIII, providing exclusive accommodations offers for attendees as the world renowned festival returns to Tenerife ten years after its historic 2016 edition
Taking place from 17th to 22nd October 2026 across Tenerife and La Palma, Starmus will bring together more than 40 distinguished speakers including Nobel Prize winners, astronauts and visionaries, and world-renowned artists, under this year’s theme, “The Search for the Truth”. Key speakers include Brian May, musician, astrophysicist and Starmus co-founder; May-Britt Moser, neuroscientist and Nobel Laureate; Julie Payette, astronaut, scientist and engineer; Jeremy Hansen, Artemis II Astronaut; and Victor J. Glover, Astronaut.
Spring Hotels will be at the heart of the six-day event, with three days of the main conference programme and a Star Party taking place at Piramide de Arona, within the group’s Mare Nostrum Resort in Playa de Las Americas.
The wider programme will see science, exploration, music and human creativity come together across the Canary Islands, beginning with the Opening Concert & Medals Ceremony in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and culminating in the Space Station Earth closing concert in La Palma. The 2026 edition also marks a decade since the first Hawking Medal ceremony was held in Tenerife.
Jo Robinson, Chief Sales Officer at Spring Hotels, said “We are delighted to be appointed as Starmus VIII’s official accommodation partner. With Mount Teide offering one of the best spots in the world for stargazing, it has always been popular with those looking to explore the skies at night, and we’re now seeing guests increasingly looking for astrotourism experiences that add another dimension to their holiday. With the festival’s exceptional line-up of speakers and experiences, Starmus VIII offers visitors a truly unique opportunity to experience the magic of stargazing on our beautiful island.”
