Senior Investments Analyst

Hoffman & Associates, Inc., a leading developer of mixed-use real estate in the Mid-Atlantic region, is looking to hire a Senior Investments Analyst to support its expanding pipeline of new projects. Hoffman’s breadth of focus includes multifamily, residential condominiums, retail, hospitality, office and master planned communities. The Sr. Analyst will work with internal and external counterparts across disciplines to further the success of each project and the company. The Sr. Analyst will also have direct, regular exposure to senior decision makers to support their strategic guidance. The role will encompass work across a variety of financial efforts, including acquisitions, debt and equity financing, corporate finance, and investor relations. The Sr. Analyst will report to the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions.

Responsibilities

1. Underwrite potential development opportunities and pursuits of existing assets
2. Maintain and update pro formas for existing projects; research market and economic data to support such underwriting; maintain an ongoing database of comparable properties for use in both underwriting and financing efforts;
3. Support efforts to source, negotiate and close debt and equity; gather and provide diligence materials to capital partners;
4. Compile regular reporting on projects and corporate initiatives, investor relations, and lender compliance;
5. Assist with analysis of disposition or recapitalization strategies;
6. Prepare materials and deliverables for presentations to internal executives, outside institutional investors, and other stakeholders;
7. Establish and maintain ongoing monitoring of key corporate financial and operational initiatives, including outstanding debt obligations and compliance certifications;
8. Address ad hoc cash flow and strategy requests from financial counterparts, internal stakeholders, and investment partners;
9. Assist in the design, development and implementation of business systems and process improvements

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or similar required.
2. Two to three years of related experience in investment sales, debt/equity capital markets, private equity, or development preferred.
