Salma Hayek Pinault Wants Revenge in Jolie’s ‘Without Blood’ Trailer​

“Revenge is the drug that allows us to fight.” Brainstorm Media has revealed the official US trailer for the film Without Blood, the latest film directed by Angelina Jolie. This actually premiered way back at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival years ago and is only now getting a release. Mainly because no one liked this – it has 33% on RT so far. A parable-like tale exploring themes of family, war, and revenge – set in a nameless country. Nina, driven by revenge after losing her family during a devastating war, tracks down the man she believes holds the answers about their deaths. Adapting Alessandro Baricco’s novel of the same name, Jolie maintains the book’s parable quality, but with “crackling precision,” especially in Hayek Pinault & Bichir’s exchanges — between a woman who witnessed her family suffer and the man who inflicted it. Shot at Rome’s fabled Cinecittà studios, this film is an intimate chamber piece about how war seeps inside each person it touches long after the weapons fall silent. Featuring Salma Hayek Pinault, Demián Bichir, and Juan Minujín. As interesting and important as this story may be, this film doesn’t look like it’ll be worth a watch.
