“What would’ve happened if I wasn’t here? Do you see how this looks, right?” 📺 A24 has revealed the first look teaser trailer for Primetime, the chilling new cinematic take on the unsettling TV news program “To Catch a Predator”. From director Lance Oppenheim (of Some Kind of Heaven and “Ren Fair“), this new film stars Robert Pattinson as the host Chris Hansen, who seems to have his own motives for this series. In 2006, “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history. Just last year there was a documentary film titled Predators (watch the trailer) from Sundance, which took a very critical look at the show, the host Chris Hansen, and what was really going on behind the scenes, and whether it was actually helping stop predators or just making things worse. This film seems to be inspired by the revelations in that doc, telling the story of how Hansen created this show for Dateline NBC. Along with Pattinson, Primetime stars Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, Phoebe Bridgers, and Bokeem Woodbine as a cop.
