Key Responsibilities
The Real Estate Associate will be largely focused on the following:
- Support day-to-day asset management of assigned investments and maintain an understanding of property operations and market conditions
- Underwrite potential investments
- Support transaction structuring and execution
- Assist in developing annual business plans including multi-year forecasts, operating budgets, capital plans, hold/sell analyses, and value-creation strategies for portfolio assets
- Prepare asset valuations and related financial analyses for portfolio assets
- Participate in property inspections, tenant meetings and market tours for portfolio assets and potential investments
- Review and monitor property performance against budget, underwriting and investment objectives
- Prepare information for investor and fiduciary reporting including asset reviews and ad hoc presentations
- Contribute to improvements of analytical tools and processes including AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, engineering or a related field
- At least two years of relevant real estate investment, asset management, or financial analysis experience
- Demonstrated understanding of real estate valuation and operations with the ability to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and develop well-supported conclusions
- Proficient using ARGUS and Excel and experience using AI tools; experience with Yardi is desirable.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to handle concurrent projects
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive compensation, salary plus bonus. Base Salary Range: $125,000 to $175,000, experience dependent
