PS5 Fans Encouraged to Give Feedback on Discs in New Sony Survey

A new Sony survey has been discovered on social media, and physical game enthusiasts are being encouraged to give the company feedback on its decision to stop manufacturing discs in 2028.

While the questionnaire doesn’t ask about physical media specifically, it does include questions on the PS5 in general. You’re encouraged to rate various aspects of the console, from its UI through to its software library.

The quiz also includes text boxes for you to share your overall impressions on the console and its games.

A recent fan blackout – designed to hit Sony’s active user statistics – failed in the US, as Circana analyst Mat Piscatella said there’d been no change to overall engagement with the PS5 during the attempted boycott.

Now fans are hoping that robust feedback in this survey will make its way back to the platform holder’s upper management.

To be fair, I’m sure the company already knows its decision has been controversial – it’s still getting peppered on social media about discs. (Although the furore has undoubtedly slowed down a lot these past few weeks.)

Of course, if you still feel passionately about the topic, it can’t hurt to air your frustration in this latest feedback form.

I’d just reiterate that honestly the best way to send any company a message is to stop buying its products. If that happens at scale, then PlayStation will be forced to make changes.
