Watch: Pregnant Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott Make Red Carpet Debut at Tonys 2026
Aubrey Plaza is sharing an exciting bumpdate.
The Ingrid Goes West star—who is expecting her first baby with partner Christopher Abbott—showed off her growing baby bump ahead of her rapidly approaching due date.
In one pic shared to Instagram Stories July 25, the 42-year-old snapped a mirror selfie as she lifted her black tank top up to reveal her stomach. While Plaza hasn’t publicly shared her due date, it seems to be soon approaching as she unbuttoned her black jeans to give her bump some room.
The Dirty Grandpa star also shared insight into how she’s preparing for her little one. Indeed, another photo captured Bambi Baby CEO Enelio Ortega helping the couple put together one of the company’s luxurious strollers.
And Plaza couldn’t be more grateful for the guidance, writing over the pic, “Muchas gracias Enelio @bambibabystore for teaching us something.”
Plaza first debuted her baby bump while walking her dog in New York City April 8, a little over a year after her estranged husband Jeff Baena died in January 2025.
Less than two weeks later, the Emily the Criminal actress spoke out about stepping into her new chapter.
“Well, there’s a baby inside of me,” she said on the April 20 episode of the SmartLess podcast. “Today was a big day. I went to the doctor’s today.”
Luckily, she had some moral support.
“My dog also went to the doctor’s,” Plaza told hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes. “Both of us—my dog’s getting a scan right now. I got a scan earlier. I’m not kidding. She had to get an ultrasound on her stomach.”

She added, “And then I got an ultrasound on my stomach, and there is a baby in there.”
As for how she feels about entering motherhood?
“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about,” she explained. “It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”
And Abbott has also expressed his enthusiasm about becoming a parent, though he shared during his May 18 appearance on Today that “There’s too much going on.”
And while his year has been packed full of life-changing milestones—including receiving a Tony nomination for his performance in Death of a Salesman—he wouldn’t have it any other way, adding “It’s very exciting.”
