With bad blood going back to All Out Texas last summer when Jon Moxley tried to end Will Ospreay’s career by targeting his in-need-of-surgery neck, Ospreay didn’t waste anytime going after Mox in their Continental title clash at AEW Dynasty tonight (April 12) in Vancouver.

Bruv also decided not to go for a quick finish after hitting Hidden Blade at the opening bell, opting instead to use as much of the 20 minutes allowed under Continental rules to get revenge on the lead Death Rider. Ospreay spent too much of that time telling Mox about his revenge, which allowed the champ to start landing attacks on Will’s now-surgically-repaired neck.
.@WillOspreay spent too much time chewing out @JonMoxley and it was enough for the AEW Continental Champion to take advantage!

And those attacks elevated to piledriving Will’s head into the steel steps, after which the Brit shrugged off ringside doctor Michael Sampson and miraculously beat the ten count.

Even as he sold his condition with Bryan Danielson-like twitching, Ospreay wouldn’t go down easily. But after two Paradigm Shifts AND a Death Rider, he finally did.

Moxley retains, and Ospreay’s got a bigger mountain to climb before the Wembley Stadium main event he and a lot of AEW fans want this summer.
