One More Final Trailer for ‘It Ends’ Gen-Z Endless Loop Driving Thriller

It Ends Final Trailer

“What if we’re supposed to suffer here? What if that’s the point?” Neon unveiled one final official trailer for the film It Ends, playing in theaters now expanding wider this weekend. The acclaimed indie stuck-in-one-place horror thriller is made by filmmaker Alexander Ullom. It premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival to great buzz, stopping by Sitges, Overlook, Fantasia, and other fests last year. It Ends is a contained minimal time loop horror about these friends who get stuck driving on an endless road to nowhere. Friends on a late-night food run become trapped on an infinite highway with otherworldly terrors lurking beyond. Confined in their Jeep Cherokee, they must decide whether to accept their fate or attempt escape. The four are played by unknown newcomer actors Phinehas Yoon, Akira Jackson, Noah Toth, and Mitchell Cole. It’s a very creative, clever concept that the director has explained is cinema about Gen-Z culture, about the experience of never really knowing how to grow up & move on. They’re hoping this ends up being another major indie horror hit just like Obsession! Bring your friends along and catch it in theaters while still playing out there.

Here’s the third & final trailer (+ final poster) for Alex Ullom’s thriller film It Ends, from Neon’s YouTube:

A group of recent grads head out on a late-night drive for grub, hoping to enjoy one final hangout before their paths diverge. Instead, they accidentally turn onto a never-ending, two-lane hellscape surrounded by untold horrors and cosmic forces beyond their understanding. Cramped together inside a Jeep Cherokee and with the miles stretching infinitely ahead, they face a choice: embrace their new existence or fight to escape it. It Ends is written and directed by young newcomer filmmaker Alex Ullom, making his feature directorial debut with this film. Produced by Carrie Carusone & Evan Barber. This initially premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival last year and played at many other genre fests. Neon debuts Alex Ullom’s It Ends film in select US theaters starting August 21st, 2026 at the end of this summer. Showing in theaters now.
