“Don’t let ’em in your mouth!” Vertigo Releasing has unveiled a brand new trailer for the 20th anniversary celebrate and 4K re-release of James Gunn’s very first feature film called Slither. This is the grimy, gross slasher horror classic that started it all – launching his career that would 20 years later lead him to take over the reigns of DC Studios at Warner Bros. If you’ve never seen it, it’s gross but tons of fun. A small town is taken over by an alien plague, turning residents into zombies and all forms of mutant monsters. Now on 4K for the first time, James Gunn’s iconic cult classic sees an extraterrestrial parasite infect the citizens of a town with the intent of devouring all life forms on Earth, leaving it up to the town sheriff (Nathan Fillion) and a local woman (Elizabeth Banks) to put an end to the monster(s). Restored from the original 35mm interpositive and approved by James Gunn and director of photography Gregory Middleton. The cast also features Gregg Henry and Michael Rooker. This is a fun one!
