“Stay back from the water!” Netflix has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a new supernatural thriller series titled Below, about a mysterious sea creature hiding underwater. This teaser doesn’t reveal much yet – mostly an intro to the characters and this fishing town. Something’s in the water. When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote town, a fisherman must fight to protect his family, his community, and his way of life. Blending local myth, thrilling suspense, and heartfelt humor, this twisty six-part limited series dives into themes of family, community, and change – both terrifying & inevitable. Filmed on location in the town of St. John’s, Newfoundland, in Canada (see Google Maps). This stars Josh Hartnett, Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, Ruby Stokes, Kaleb Horn, Rohan Campbell, and Willow Kean. I wish there was more in this trailer to hint at what it is down there. A giant squid? Alien? Ghosts? Magical whale? Kraken? What could it be. About shooting in a real fishing town in nothern Canada: “It’s such a unique landscape and so rugged, dangerous, isolated, and scary in a lot of ways.
