“Do we even know this man at all?” Bleecker Street has launched their main official trailer for the must see new documentary film titled simply Musk, about the uber-wealthy tech giant megalomaniac Elon Musk. Musk just premiered at the 2026 Venice Film Festival and is releasing in theaters in October very soon (Alex Gibney also debuted his other new doc Knife: The Attempted Murder of Salman Rushdie at Sundance 2026 earlier this year). Gibney’s next doc is a full-on, 4-hour long journalistic doc that is split into two parts with an intermission. The first half is about Tesla & Space X, and the second half is about Twitter & Trump. “An incisive look behind the legend of Elon Musk, the wealthiest, and most unchecked, man on the planet.” Yep. Gibney continues to show he’s a master at exposing the dark truths behind the façade of public personas to demonstrate how power corrupts, and how absolute power corrupts absolutely. I’ve seen this doc and it does expose him for being a massive fraudster, just lying over and over about what he will do and what he will accomplish, while others do the actual hard work.
