Watch: Love Island USA’s Corbin Reveals Real Reason He Called Out Sincere’s Behavior Toward Melanie
Corbin Mims‘ opinion about fellow Islander Sincere Rhea is that deep.
The Love Island USA bombshell ended his tenure on season eight by showing Sincere some tough love regarding how the Jersey boy concealed his flirty behavior with other women while coupled up with Melanie Moreno.
“When I was making that decision to finally be 100 percent with Melanie and Sincere, I knew it was going to be the hardest thing to do,” Corbin said in an exclusive interview with E! News. “At first I didn’t want to talk, I’m not gonna lie.”
But after watching all of Sincere’s chats with Melanie, Sol Dean and Amora Robinson at Movie Night—where the Islanders’ private moments are blasted in high definition in front of the entire cast—the 22-year-old felt compelled to speak honestly about how he felt “backstabbed” by Sincere downplaying his behavior toward Melanie. And the couples’ compatibility vote in episode 27 was the perfect opportunity.
As Corbin put it, “What I seen at Movie Night, that s–t was f–ked up too, because we the bros, bro. You can’t lie to the bros, bro,” referring to the close alliance between him, Sincere and KC Chandler. “We got your back, so that s–t hurt me too.”
Another reason Corbin finally decided to speak up was actually because of his partner Parmida Keshani, who had an unbiased take on the controversial couple, since her midseason arrival during Casa Amor freed her of “baggage coming into the decision.”
“This is my bro, I don’t want to feel like I’m betraying him,” Corbin explained of his initial mindset during the vote. “What changed my mind was Parmida. She had a different stance on their whole relationship.”

“So I set my friendship aside and said, ‘OK, let me listen to Parmida speak the pros and cons.’ And she is actually 100 percent right,” Corbin continued. “Now, when I look at it on the outside of the glass, I was like, ‘Oh s–t, this is true.'”
As such, the fitness influencer remained proud that he didn’t act as a “yes man” to Sincere, because “everybody needs that type of friend in their corner.”
“I think he needed that moment to really see the effect of how it affected me,” Mims added, “how it affects his couple and everybody in that Villa.”
