“Don’t worry, this isn’t Godzilla we are talking about.” Who is then?! Toho & GKids have finally debuted the main official trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, the highly anticipated sequel to the awesome Godzilla Minus One from 2023 a few years ago. This one has tons of new footage – including a tease of the full IMAX frame shots. And it looks better than ever! Director Takashi Yamazaki has been hard at work on a sequel ever since that first one roared its way to Oscar glory. This next one will smash into theaters worldwide in November with a world premiere at the New York Film Festival later this month. It’s 1949 just after the war, when Americans were still in Japan helping them rebuild. But they must also deal with another Kaiju. The story continues with the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity. 🔥 Featuring both Ryunosuke Kamiki as Koichi Shikishima and Minami Hamabe as Noriko Oishi returning in the same roles. This also stars Miou Tanaka, Sakura Ando, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Yuki Yamada, and Kuranosuke Sasaki. After surviving the previous deadly struggle alongside Shikishima, these beloved characters stand ready to face Godzilla once again. The big reveal at the end is that Godzilla will battle King Ghidorah, whose scream can be heard in this trailer. Mega epic!! I’m super hyped for it. This is one sequel that should totally deliver.

Godzilla Minus Zero picks up in 1949, two years after the tumultuous events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity. Ryunosuke Kamiki, the hero who faced Godzilla’s terror in Godzilla Minus One, returns as Koichi Shikishima, and is joined by Minami Hamabe as Noriko Oishi, who miraculously survived Godzilla’s first attack on Tokyo.
