KFC Reveals the Oreo Chicken Burger, and We’re Both Revolted and Intrigued

If you’re a fan of strange and unholy fast food concoctions, then you’ll definitely want to see what the crazed scienticians at KFC and Nabisco have concocted. Fresh off the reveal of their fried chicken-flavored Oreo cookies in China, the two companies have reversed that fusion to create the Oreo Original Recipe Chicken Burger.

This bizarre collab was revealed by KFC China on Weibo (via Dexerto). It looks every bit as strange as it sounds. The sandwich starts off ordinarily enough, with a fried chicken patty and lettuce, but it’s topped with brown mashed potatoes dusted in cookie crumbles and placed between two Oreo cookie-flavored buns.

Like any good fast food mash-up, we can’t decide if we’re grossed out by this creation or deeply intrigued. Either way, American foodies shouldn’t count on being able to try the Oreo Original Recipe Chicken Burger anytime soon. The sandwich is currently limited to the Chinese market only, with no indication of when or if it might come to the US.

This is just the latest odd creation from the folks at Nabisco. Past Oreo cookie variants have included Post Malone Oreos, which featured swirled salted caramel and shortbread flavored cream squeezed between one golden and one chocolate Oreo wafer cookie, and Mario Oreos. And in perhaps the most unholy combination of them all, there’s the Ritz Oreo.
