Kenny Omega is defending the AEW world championship against Will Ospreay in the main event of All In London at Wembley Stadium on Aug. 30. In order to hype fans up for the fight, AEW aired a Renee Paquette sit-down interview with both men on tonight’s (Aug. 19) episode of Dynamite.
During the interview, the two stars discussed splitting their previous matches against each other. The thing is, Ospreay needed help from Don Callis and a screwdriver to beat Omega. Ospreay is torn up about the fact that he didn’t beat Kenny on his own, while Omega went so far as to say he considers himself to be 2-0 against Ospreay, which means All In isn’t a rubber match.
Things got personal towards the end of the interview when Omega brought Ospreay’s family into it. Not only will Omega make sure Ospreay fails to win the AEW world title in front of his family in London, but the champ is really worried that Will’s stepson will want a new role model after he sees Kenny beat Will’s ass yet again.
Did Kenny Omega cross the line with his verbal low blow on Will Ospreay, or did things need to go even harder here? What did you think of their full sit-down interview on Dynamite? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
