“The iceberg is not your friend! Get back!” Netflix has unveiled the main official trailer for a supernatural thriller series titled Below, about a mysterious sea creature and freaky iceberg. Something’s in the water. When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote town, a fisherman must fight to protect his family, his community, and his way of life. Blending local myth, thrilling suspense, and heartfelt humor, this twisty six-part limited series dives into themes of family, community, and change – both terrifying and inevitable. It was filmed on location in the town of St. John’s, Newfoundland, in Canada (see Google Maps). This stars Josh Hartnett, Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, Ruby Stokes, Kaleb Horn, Rohan Campbell, and Willow Kean. This trailer finally gives us much more about what’s going on in this intriguing story. There’s a giant iceberg that drifts into this harbor, and some kind of old sea monster seems to be in there. Once it unfreezes it starts messing with this local fishing community. But what exactly is it? Interesting that this isn’t the only iceberg offering this year (also see Tom Cruise’s Digger). Keep an eye out for this series – looks like it’ll be a good mystery to get caught up in this fall on Netflix. Especially with this impressive cast.
