Jodie Sweetin likes a full house, but she wants a bed to herself.

Shortly after the Full House alum celebrated four years of marriage with husband Mescal Wasilewski, she shared a surprising bedroom confession.

“We have two twin beds pushed up against together in a king-sized thing with two separate duvets,” Sweetin explained during an Aug. 25 appearance on the Good Guys podcast. “That is key because you’re not fighting over the blanket. I’m telling you, that is the smallest, biggest difference.”

Indeed, Sweetin—mom to Zoie, 18, and Beatrix, 15, with ex Morty Coyle—highlighted that the unusual set-up keeps the pair firmly in the honeymoon phase.

“I can roll over and wrap myself up like a burrito,” she detailed. “He can do whatever. We’re not fighting over it in the middle of the night. So no one’s fighting that we’re cold.”

And Sweetin—who was also previously married to Shaun Holguin, Cody Herpin and Morty Coyle—said that the bedroom layout is one of “the biggest things” that could make or break a marriage.

“Not sex but like actual sleeping is one of the things that drives most couples nuts,” she explained. “I do think there’s situations like that where it’s a nightmare sometimes to sleep with someone next to you.”

Meanwhile, Sweetin joked that her prior marriages taught her some valuable lessons on what it takes for her to be happy in a relationship. As she put it, “I’ve been married four times, so after a few, I think you just kind of go, ‘Maybe I should have some space on my own.’”

Luckily, Sweetin and Wasilewski are on the same page when it comes to keeping some of their lives separate.

“My husband Mescal and I are both very independent people,” Sweetin explained. “Our dream goal is to own property somewhere. I want a few tiny homes on it. He gets his tiny home, I get my tiny home. And there’s a middle one that’s like, kitchen, living room or whatever.”

For Sweetin, it creates a much better dynamic to maintain separation.

“I’ve heard a lot of people say that more time apart—it reduces the like, ‘Oh the dishes, and the laundry’ and the little things that make you just really not like a person on the day to day,” she reasoned. “I think it does keep some of the mystery and you have to be intentional about your time. You don’t get used to the other person just always being there.”
