Hayter and Windsor were pounding beverages at the local drinking establishment when a friendly man got a little too friendly. Windsor smashed his head into the bar, and Hayter broke her glass over his head. They burst out laughing. This incident gave Hayter inspiration for their team name. Hayter and Windsor are the Brawling Birds.
I’ll have to ask input from fellow Cagesiders in the comments if they recognize any pop culture references for this vignette and name. Off the top of my head, the Brawling Birds name fits their aesthetic. They both like to fight, and Hayter has that fashion vibe going from the era when women were called birds.
