Brody King just had an AEW World title shot at Grand Slam Australia last Saturday, but that’s not why he and champion MJF have shown up on news shows several times in the past two weeks. King usually gets a mention, as it’s stance against President Donald Trump’s Immigration & Customs Enforcement operations and fundraising for those affected by it that led to the anti-ICE chants from AEW crowds that NBC, CNN, and Last Week Tonight are covering.
The former #1 contender wasn’t live on Dynamite tonight (Feb. 18) when AEW was in Sacramento, California. But his pre-taped backstage promo was shown in the arena just like it was on TBS and HBO Max, and that was enough to get a “Fuck ICE” chant going in Memorial Auditorium for about ten seconds:
.@Brodyxking may have fallen short of the #AEW World Championship, but the hunt for #AEW gold continues.

And because we wouldn’t want you to miss what yours truly considers the greatest chant in the history of our sport, here’s just the Fuck ICE part…

Yeah, that’s not going away completely any time soon. We’ll see how it is next Wednesday in Denver when King gets back in the hunt on the Feb. 25 Dynamite.
