Incredible Full Trailer for ‘Whalefall’ – The Swallowed by a Whale Movie​

“You’re just gonna accept your fate? No.” 🐳 Whoa! This looks incredibly intense. 20th Century Studios has debuted the main official trailer for Whalefall, a must watch survival thriller splashing its way to theaters in October. What a trailer! This is the tale of a man swallowed by a whale. But instead of being unrealistic or fantastical (like in the Pinocchio story), it’s an actually realistic and unsettling look at what would happened to someone if this really happened. It’s adapted from the novel of the same name written by Daniel Kraus. “The odds of being swallowed alive by a whale are not zero.” A scuba diver searching for his father’s remains in the ocean is swallowed by a sperm whale, leaving him an hour to find a way to escape. The hard-earned lessons that his late father imparted may be the key to his escape. Look similar to other contained survival thrillers like Buried and 127 Hours. Whalefall stars Austin Abrams as the diver eaten by the whale, along with Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd. The first teaser debuted earlier in the summer and it really made an impact. This trailer is even better! I’m completely sold on this. What a concept and even harder to pull it off as a movie, and yet it looks like they did it! A must watch film.

Produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Brian Duffield, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum. 20th Century releases Duffield’s Whalefall movie in theaters nationwide starting on October 16th, 2026 coming up in the fall.
