“These are no longer your fights. You fight for us.” Well Go USA has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled The Champion, a Polish film about the true story of a boxing champ at the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz located in Poland. The film was originally called The Champion of Auschwitz and it first premiered back in 2020 at a film festival in Poland. It has already been released but Well Go USA is now giving it another VOD release if anyone is interested. The incredible true story of the Polish pre-war boxing champion Tadeusz “Teddy” Pietrzykowski, who, early in the Second World War, arrived with the very first transport of prisoners to the newly created Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, where he became known as “The Champion of Auschwitz”. He became famous for his nearly undefeated strings of victories, igniting hope among fellow prisoners & proving their captors are not invincible. Starring Piotr Witkowski as Tadeusz, with Rafał Zawierucha, Marcin Czarnik, & Jan Szydłowski. This trailer is for the English dub version of this, which still looks & sounds bad. I always prefer to hear the original voices with subittles. // Continue Reading ›
