This premiered a few years ago and is getting a full VOD release on platforms this June to watch at home. Right from your own couch, too. Kevin Kraft’s The Second Coming of John Cooper is a mockumentary about a (fake) Hollywood actor. The story follows washed-up celebrity John Cooper, who partied away his career and vanished from the public eye. When a documentary crew discovers him couch-surfing at fan’s home, documenting his delusional quest to revive his career after squandering fame through partying and disappearing from spotlight. Starring Lane Compton as John Cooper, with Trevor Goober, Ilana Kohanchi, and Dustin Ybarra. Blurring the line between a real doc and a mock doc featuring real comedians like Rob Corddry, Brian Posehn, Doug Benson, and TikTok sensation Mads Lewis.
