TBS Champion Willow Nightingale defended her title in an open challenge on tonight’s (Apr. 2) special Thursday episode of Collision. She said she wants to face the very best that AEW has to offer. You can argue that’s exactly what she got when Mercedes Mone former world champion Hikaru Shida made her surprise return to AEW to accept the challenge.

The battle of babyfaces went back and forth in a solid bout, as expected. The finish came after Shida missed her Katana signature move and got caught in a backslide for the three count.
Things only got more interesting from there when Willow turned her back to her opponent to celebrate the big win. A frustrated Shida seriously considered blasting Nightingale with her kendo stick, but ultimately decided against it. Willow had no idea what was going on behind her.
.@ShidaHikaru looks to be conflicted about the results of her return match against @WillowWrestles!
