You are far more powerful than what you imagine.” Prime Video revealed a trailer for their new adaptation of the acclaimed novel The House of the Spirits, a vivid series out for streaming at the end of April this spring. Spanning a century, the Trueba Family faces secret loves, revolution, and great conflict between the tyrannical patriarch and his granddaughter, set against violent social upheaval. Based on the book of the same name by Isabel Allende. It was already turned into a major Hollywood movie back in 1993 with Jeremy Irons & Meryl Streep starring. This one is a more authentic Chilean story – from the creators of the film The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future previously. The House of the Spirits is a magnificent family saga that tells the epic tale of a proud and passionate family, along with secret loves, and even a bloody revolution. The Trueba family’s passions and struggles span a century of violent social change, culminating in a crisis that hurls the proud, tyrannical patriarch and his beloved granddaughter towards opposite sides of the fence. Starring Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi, Nicole Wallace, Juan Pablo Raba, Fernanda Castillo, and many others.
