Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma Trailer

“She’s clearly the same person from Miasma 1, the final girl. But she’s so much more…!” Mubi has unveiled full official trailer for the indie slasher horror film titled Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, the latest feature made by filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun of the indie hit I Saw the TV Glow previously. It’s now ready for release in theaters this August. This just premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on Opening Night to many rave reviews (though I’m a bit mixed on it). A queer director making a new slasher franchise sequel becomes obsessed with casting the original film’s “final girl,” leading both women into psychological and sexual chaos. This teaser is obviously timed with Scream 7 opening this weekend doing this exact thing. “A new kind of horror remake,” starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson. The indie cast also features Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Quintessa Swindell, Kevin McDonald, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Jack Haven. This trailer shows so much of the film and some of the best scenes, diving into the kitsch and the horror tropes it examines, along with introducing the killer “Little Death” from the (faux) horror series it’s riffing on. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›
