“When you have someone who knows who you were, and who you will always be – there is no deeper tie, no stronger bond.” Warner Bros has unveiled the full official trailer for the legacy sequel Practical Magic 2, arriving in theaters in September after some 28 years since the first movie. Will this one end up being a big hit or not? The original Practical Magic romantic comedy first opened in theaters back in October 1998 – stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman and Dianne Wiest are all back again for this long-awaited follow-up sequel. Of course this one tries to undo the magic of the original story, which is actually based on the novel called “The Book of Magic“. A multi generational family of witches, who are cursed to be loveless for centuries, attempts to break the spell by confronting dark secrets and sacrificing for each other. In this sequel, the Owens women all must once again unite, traveling from their home in Massachusetts to the UK to confront the source of their magic and perhaps save the next generation of their family. The cast includes Joey King as Sally’s daughter, with Lee Pace as some hunky witch man, Stockard Channing, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, & Solly McLeod. Despite an impressive cast, this still doesn’t look all that good. It seems like more of a glossy TV special than a real sequel that’s worth going out to watch in theaters.
