First Trailer for ‘Jumanji: Open World’ Sequel w/ Hart, Gillan, Johnson

Jumanji: Open World Trailer

“Did I break the world?” “No! But maybe…” Sony Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for the wild comedy sequel Jumanji: Open World, the third and final (supposedly?) live-action Jumanji movie in this recent series. Everything kicked off (again) with the reboot Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017 and continued with the not-so-funny Jumanji: The Next Level in 2019, now wrapping up with this finale some 7 years later. The players have escaped the ever-changing jungles of Jumanji, but this time the game breaks free of its console, unleashing chaos into our world. “The final countdown begins.” This time everyone from the past two movies have to deal with the game coming out into the real world, kind of like the very first Jumanji from 1995 with Robin Williams (still the best one). The very fun, big ensemble cast for this sequel includes Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Rhys Darby, with Nick Jonas and Danny DeVito. This looks like the weirdest one yet, with even stranger things happening to these people. Does it still make anyone laugh?

Here’s the first official trailer for Jake Kasdan’s sequel Jumanji: Open World, direct from YouTube:

One. Last. Game. This Christmas, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan are reunited in Jumanji: Open World, the hilarious final installment of the globally beloved action-adventure trilogy. Our heroes have escaped the perilous jungles of Jumanji before, but this time Jumanji breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into our world. Jumanji: Open World is directed by comedy filmmaker Jake Kasdan, director of the films Orange County, The TV Set, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Bad Teacher, and Sex Tape, plus both Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle & Jumanji: The Next Level movies before, and lots of other TV work. The screenplay is written by Jake Kasdan & Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg. Based on the original book “Jumanji” by Chris Van Allsburg. With music composed by Henry Jackman. Produced by Matt Tolmach, Jake Kasdan, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, & Hiram Garcia. Sony releases Kasdan’s Jumanji: Open World in theaters nationwide starting December 25th, 2026, on Christmas Day, late this year. Fun?
