First Teaser for ‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’ – Season 2 with Rosario Dawson​

“We’re in more danger than I thought…” Lucasfilm & Disney have revealed an impressive teaser trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka – Season 2, the continuation of this epic Star Wars series about the Togruta Jedi. The first season launched back in 2023, featuring Rosario Dawson taking on the major role of live-action Ahsoka Tano, and this next season continues January 2027. From the looks of it, this is the actual Return of the Jedi sequel, featuring massive space battles, ghost Anakin, the Empire trying to return, and much more going on in the Star Wars universe. Ahsoka Season 2 is a fitting tribute to Dave Filoni’s love of the original Star Wars films and his work over the past 20 years in animation & live action. “What started as one film has grown over 5 decades into a global phenomenon.” Season 2 stars Dawson as Ahsoka, who was Anakin’s apprentice, with Ariana Greenblatt as a younger Ahsoka. Also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Hayden Christensen as Anakin, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann, Eman Esfandi, Jeryl Prescott Gallien as Aktropaw, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. So far so good! I’m digging this footage! Might actually be worth a watch when it debuts next year.

A spin-off from the series The Mandalorian, taking place in the same timeframe as that series set right after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). Rosario Dawson stars as Ahsoka Tano. The character was first created for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars (voiced by Ashley Eckstein). Season 2 will showcase an even bigger story for this former Jedi as she confronts her own Jedi legacy. “The stakes are higher, the battles are bigger… and the threat of Thrawn looms large for Ahsoka, her crew, and the entire galaxy.” Ahsoka is a Lucasfilm / Disney+ series created & showrun by Dave Filoni, developed by Filoni and Jon Favreau.
