First Teaser for ‘Human Vapor’ Sci-Fi Thriller Remake with Shun Oguri​

Netflix has revealed the first look teaser trailer for Human Vapor, a frightening new take on this sci-fi thriller classic from Toho Studios. From the creators behind Train to Busan and the recent “Gannibal” series comes a grounded reimagining of Toho’s legendary classic. From Netflix Japan, Human Vapor is a sci-fi thriller series following a mysterious killer who can transform into gas and slip through any barrier. As fear spreads across society, a detective and relentless reporter race to stop an unstoppable force that seems to mock the limits of human control. The original is a 1960 film called The Human Vapor made by Gojira director Ishirô Honda. This modern update is a much more chilling version, more of a serial killer thriller than superhero story, though has vibes of both.
