“Sink into the chair!” This long-awaited spoof comedy sequel is ready to burst open theaters THIS week! Paramount has debuted one final official trailer for the horror comedy sequel Scary Movie, also known as Scary Movie 6 (or Scary Movie VI), reviving this spoof comedy franchise that ran for decades. In theaters this June – one other spot (also seen below) features a funny riff on the Backrooms movie that just opened. The very first Scary Movie debuted in 2000 and the series continued on with sequels in 2001, 2003, 2006, and most recently in 2013. This comedy sequel is a riff on the recent Scream 7 – the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Let ‘er rip! Make fun of them all! Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. 😱 Ha ha.
